ABOUT ALEXANDER
Alex started his powerlifting journey very early, competing at his first meet at the age of just 16, at the Singapore Powerlifting Open. He went on to go up two weight classes to the U83kg's and at 18 went to his first international competition, IPF Worlds 2018, where he placed fourth and broke the sub-junior deadlift world record. He has since moved to Vancouver for university where he has only competed once putting up a respectable 762.5kg total in the U93 class.
Throughout high school he coached his friends, learning along the way about various methods and strategies to ensure that people would receive an optimal program. Once he enlisted into the military (due to National Service as a Singaporean citizen) he decided to take coaching more seriously and spent more time learning from those around him. Whether it was from the people he knew or through books and youtube videos, he has gained a fair amount of knowledge and experience coaching athletes from various backgrounds.
Alex communicates well and emphasizes long-term health and progression while still focusing on strength potential.
